Questions and answers.
Bu Roof suits detached homes and other small houses up to three storeys, cabins, garages and carports with at least 8 metres to the nearest neighbouring building. We check the distance during the inspection, before you get the final price. If your house is closer, we'll let you know.
Weight: Bu Panel 7 kg/m² versus roof tiles 40–50 kg/m². Lifespan: both 30+ years. Bu Panel does not rust and does not get the same moss grip as roof tiles. Roof tiles have a longer track record in Norway.
Yes. Composite never rusts (relevant for coastal buildings), dampens rain noise better, and is recyclable. Steel sheet has a longer market tradition in Norway. Bu Panel has a click-lock with an approved patent.
Confirmed after the inspection.
A partner company in Bergen. Outside Bergen, our own installer does the job.
You get a 30-year product warranty on the panel.
Many customers finance roof replacement through their own bank — often as part of a renovation loan or refinancing. We give you a concrete price upfront so you can discuss it with the bank. For projects over 200,000 NOK we also offer a 12-month payment plan at no extra cost.
We recommend it. The report you get from us is yours — you can share it with other bidders. We compete on quality and service, not on being the only option.
